How to make a scanned PDF searchable

  1. Choose your scanned PDF.
  2. Pick the document's language and press Make searchable. Each page is read on your device.
  3. Download it. Now you can search with Ctrl+F (⌘F), select and copy the words.

Will the pages look different?

No. The words are added as invisible text behind each page, so it looks exactly like the original.

What about pages that already have text?

They're left as they are; only pages without searchable text are read.

Are my files private?

Yes. Your file is never uploaded. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device.
